Reflection
I believe that selfies have grown into a lifestyle for many people. In today's world we don't even think about the actual concept of a selfie, let alone why we even take them. Selfies have become a source of social awareness, as these pictures inform others what you are doing in your day to day life. We have become so dependent on the amount of likes and comments we get on a post, that people are now experiencing mental health defects due to not feeling loved or wanted by others. I personally believe that a silly post on Instagram doesn't define you, but I know for sure that others don't feel that way. The stigma stating that you are more popular if you have more likes is disgusting to me, and I hope that other people pick up on this idea as well.

Instagram is now filled with people "blogging" their day to day lives, whether they are posting on their fake Instagram profiles, posting about their healthy food to inspire others to eat right, and even posting themselves doing specific workouts for others to follow. Besides the "What I Eat" project discussed in class, I personally follow accounts where people post their daily workouts. Being someone so interested in being fit and exercising, these posts give me inspiration and direction as to what else I can do to spice up my workout. One Instagram account that I follow is Jen Widerstrom's, a former Biggest Loser Trainer's Instagram page. Widerstrom posts both success stories as well as workouts, so these give me inspiration to be my best self.
